About the scheme
Utility Safety Solutions can deliver fusion training either at our training facility or at your premises. Using our own equipment, we can deliver fusion training (Electro or Butt) on MDPE pipes from 20mm > 250mm diameter. Utility Safety Solutions can also deliver training using client’s equipment such as TracStar for larger diameter pipes. Utility Safety Solutions also offer a train & lay option where we come to you and deliver both the theory and practical elements in a live site situation. Our 1-day fusion training courses are split into two sections, theory and practical. For training quality purposes, we shall only take a maximum of 8 delegates per course Endorsed by Energy & Utility Skills register on successful completion of the course you will be provided with a EUSR card valid for 3 years.

Delivery
Electrofusion can be delivered at our premises. Utility safety solutions have a range of equipment and fittings to deliver this course to the recognized WIS/GIS standard.
In addition, we can deliver training at your premises/site under controlled conditions.
The course is delivered via a theory presentation and a practical demonstration
Course is delivered over 1 day
Assessment
Assessment is via a theory-based test and a requirement of delegates to demonstrate the successful set up and electro fusion weld of PE materials.
Registration on EUSR
Electrofusion will be valid for 3 years
Renewal
Attendance of the full 1-day course is required on expiration of qualification.
